The chain cases are prone to getting water in them, and too much water for too long ruins just about everything in the cases at mucho cost.
The pumps are groaning but from my little experience and the research I've done it seems that them being noisy is fairly normal on these case 1835b's. I will add that It almost feels like the left/right side are fighting each other when your trying to spin/turn it around.

Its been a good machine all I have done is change Oil and Filters, one drive Motor, and couple of Starter solenoids. When I got the machine the Hyds sounded terrible and the Oil looked even worse.Find out the engine, transmission, hydraulic, and loader performance specs of the Case 1835 skid steer loader. Compare the gasoline and diesel engine models and the standard and optional tire sizes.The Case 1835B is equipped with a radial-lift loader boom, 60H drive chain, and 7.00x15 (Std) or 10.00x16.5 (Opt) tires. The loader has a boom breakout force of 2250 lbs (1020 kg) and bucket breakout force of 3100 lbs (1405 kg).
I am looking at a Case 1835c skid steer coming up in an auction soon. It is an older 1988 model with gas engine. Right now I have a 1968 Case 530 tractor with a loader for doing misc. projects around a small acreage.
